About Catherine

Catherine Corcoran made genre film history with her starring roles in the Terrifier (Netflix/ Peacock) and STARZ/ Troma Entertainment's, award-winning, Return to Nuke 'Em High franchises. Her career also includes starring roles in Long Lost (Amazon) by Emmy Award-winning director, Erik Bloomquist, Hallmark Channel's Last Vermont Christmas along with a supporting role in IFC Film's Chuck alongside Elizabeth Moss, Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber. 

Catherine’s television work includes roles in Gossip Girl, The Good Wife and MTV Pranks, and she has worked under the mentorship of Academy Award Nominated director Josh Fox (Gasland). Catherine has produced and written a variety of narrative and commercial content for organizations such as Emmy Award-winning Silver Sound Studios, Motown Records, Metro Esports, Zeldavision Media, ReKT Global and HBO.

At the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, her wedding ceremony was recognized by Le Figaro as “the first lesbian wedding in France,” coinciding with the premiere of Return to Nuke ‘Em High Vol 1 and its advocacy for marriage equality. Since then, Catherine has spoken at The Museum of Modern Art, Film at Lincoln Center, The New York Academy of Dramatic Arts, UCLA, and The Museum of the Moving Image on topics including gender equity, independent filmmaking, and Shakespearean satire. 

 

She has also led programming and initiatives across multiple festivals, including serving as Chief Operating Officer of the Greenwich International Film Festival, Panel Program Director for the Montauk Film Festival, and a jury programmer for the Silver Sound Showdown.
 

She has contributed as a writer for The Daily Beast and Fangoria Magazine, and her work has been featured in The New York Times, TIME, Interview Magazine, PAPER, and The Los Angeles Times.
